another moments in my life…my sembreak vacation

Many years have pass and lot of experience come along my way. Both of this make me strong and mold me to be a better individual. Gaining friends, making time worth living, spending days to be a better and meaningful was the most perfect reason for me to have a rest.

It’s been almost six months when I come go to school. Six months of waking up early. Six months of making sleeping late and making assignments, projects and studying for the different quizzes. The never endless struggles for the first semester this school year is about to end. Many will now establish their self into a new environment. This will be a never tiring job of joy with our peers, playmates and even cousins.  Vacation!

Sembreak will now enter! This means lot of things to me. It will start at the fifteenth day of this October.

I am so very excited for this coming sembreak because i have so many plan for in coming hallowen party of my family,and im sure that this hallowen party will be very happy and memorable to me..

Fortune tellers foresee a nation’s fate or an individuals destiny by simply looking at their crystal balls, tarot cards,or tea leaves. Hollywood moguls produce out-of-this-world, futuristic, sci-fi motion pictures with the latest special effects to draw box-office crownds and garner comments success.

As i look back at the years i spend in cOllege, i remember all the struggles i have encountered in college life. Heavy workloads,harder subjects, stressful quizzes and exams. All of these things had challenge ma to strive hard in order  to surpass the last and the hardest training ground in student’s life. And ultimately we did it! Time flies so fast as we notice and now we only have months left and we’ll be out of this institution to have our share of living in the so called “real world”.

I am sure that HERCOR COLLEGE had than its part in equipping us with the best education and skills. Endows us to develop our potentials and talents. It enabled us to find ourselves. Realize our porpuse and existence in life and somehow discover all our immaturities. We are so very thankful and gracious of what we have achieved and learned from this institution,we will surely keep all these in our mind especially in our heart. We will leave the portals of this institution full of wisdom.

To my fellow classmates, let’s continue striving for our ambitions and reach it. Let’s try to broaden our knowlege and us it in a positive and wholesome way. We just have to believe in ourselves. In our abilities and potential. Be confident in facing every struggles and challenge in life. We just have to give our best in whatever we do!

To the students who well be left in school start planning ahead for your future. Get busy fucosing on how to achieve or reach each of your dreams. Don’t ever let challenge, difficulties, struggles discourage you from dreaming and sidetrack you from road to success….

While she had to contened with so much pressure from showbiz folks about when and with whom she will finally be romantically involved with, Sarah holds her candle and is admirably steadfast with her convictions.

At 21, most showbiz girls have actually had a string of love affairs to boot. But not Sarah. The conservative young lady says with a smile “hindi porke 21 years old na, kailangan may boyfriend na. Hindi naman batas yun di po ba?” Sarah seems to be content to wait for God’s Best Man for her.oO nga,tama kah dyan idOl….

 

Sarah is a born-again Christian and attends the Victory Christian Fellowship. Like most of them serious Christians in that group, Sarah does not really believe in engaging in casual relationships to determine whether that guy is the best for her or not. She is content to wait for the right one. This, to us, is a very admirable trait. We said it before and we will keep saying it. This is the kind of moral values that the youth should have for a role model. If only all of them showbiz people are like her.

        In our journey through the years of life, we experience countless changing.

All around, everything is changing, and change seems to be the only constant thing.

Yet, no matter how difficult the challenge of the fast changing world is, its no secret that

this innovations have made our lives easier..

     Technological advancements are innovations that has been the face of modernization

and progress. These technological breakthroughs have our lives easier and more 

convivient. In communication business transaction, agriculture, industry, offices and

most especially in our school. Some lessons we have learned before are already obselete

and inapplicable because a new field of literacy came into being-”Computer Literacy”.

A more interesting lesson because it makes tha learning process easier and more

interesting….

“Towards Philippines 2000,” with the promise of a better future.

Whether we are headed towards a “utopian” society remains to be seen.

     And where do all this leave the family in the millenuim? Already

we have seen in the last decades, its slow, decaying and crumbling structures

demonstrated by extra-marital relationships, domineering feminists, wife-

beating husbands battered wives, and rebellious teenagers…

While other kids spent their days on the playground, Sarah was already determined to participate in more talent shows. Divine would accompany her to auditions, and it was common for them to get a callback, but the offers were mostly for the less significant bit parts. Sarah became part of the Pen Pen De Sarapen cast. In a kiddie movie entitled Sarah, ang Munting Prinsesa, she was cast for a supporting role. She also appeared in the “tweeners” afternoon variety show AngTV on the ABS-CBN network. However, the spotlight seldom landed on her. Despite that, she was always happy just to perform and be able to sing, dance and act. Even at this early stage of her career, she already exhibited extraordinary passion for her craft, and the traits associated with it — wanting to improve, taking criticisms constructively, and always eager to learn. What she lacked in the glamour of her audition dresses and shoes, she more than made up with talent and determination.

To hone Sarah’s skills, Delfin trained her himself for several hours everyday. Mimicking the way Regine Velasquez was trained by her dad by having her sing while submerged neck-deep in the sea, Sarah trained in a makeshift water barrel.

But even with training and talent, she still couldn’t seem to find that crack in the wall to break through. When the family business went bankrupt, they found it harder to sustain the expenses of her auditions. Divine resorted to saving the smallest of loose change so they will have jeepney fare for the auditions. Any other individual with weaker resolve would have lost heart. Life was arduous, but the Geronimos bravely plowed on.

In addition to her prowess on the stage, Sarah was a very diligent student at the Dominican School in Lacson Avenue, Manila. Good education was one of the intangible things that their parents wanted to impart to them, and this value was deeply instilled in the Geronimo kids. Sarah’s parents would even borrow money so they could send the kids to good and reputable schools. After graduating from elementary school, Sarah continued secondary study at the University of Santo Tomas Education High School. Her friends from high school considered her a class clown. Out of nowhere, she would erupt into a song or a joke, that would send her friends laughing. Her zest for life and engaging, contagious smile easily won people over. She also loves to draw and sketch, and is actually a bookworm. One of her favorite book characters was Harry Potter. On any given day, Sarah was just a teenager enjoying her youth. Apart from usual teenagers though, her concern for her family made her years wiser than her age.

And on stage, where her talents were initially recognized, Sarah has filled up venues both in her native homeland and abroad. Her first concert at the Aliw Theatre entitled “Popstar: A Dream Come True” (2003) gave her the first taste of a standing ovation by an entire crowd. The warm reception of the fans boosted Viva Concert’s confidence that she can fill up The Big Dome. And they were not mistaken. Her first concert at the Araneta Coliseum, entitled “The Other Side of Sarah Geronimo” (2005), was a sold out concert. Sarah’s supporters stayed until the end of the concert despite the fact that The Dome became one huge oven when the air conditioning units failed to function. A young yet energetic Sarah performed like there’s no tomorrow, much to the delight of the fans who seemed to have forgotten about the technical problems. That was the first time she filled The Big Dome to the rafters. The second time was at “Sarah Geronimo In Motion” (2007) where Sarah showed her prowess in singing and dancing. Her latest concert is “Sarah Geronimo: The Next One” (2008), another sold out concert at The Big Dome, where she first played an instrument (a piano) as accompaniment. All 3 of her Araneta Coliseum soldout concerts were brought on tour to other countries around the world. She has wowed both Filipinos and foreigners alike, and her soldout tours speak for themselves that Sarah indeed has arrived.

To date, Sarah is one of the most sought after endorsers of products, services, even government offices and public servants wanting to run for office. She conquered the different media for ads: tv, radio, print, billboards. Because of this, she is also dubbed as the biggest MultiMedia Superstar, transcending different media to reach the general public. With over 60 awards and recognitions to date, and thousands of screaming fans, Sarah is considered a phenomenon in the industry.

One may say that Sarah is very lucky. She is indeed. But it was not all luck. There were tears and trials and heartaches and rejections. She has to make sacrifices as simple as not eating ice cream or chocolate to preserve her voice, to something as complicated as having to take home study and miss regular classes and everything that goes with it. It was her determination to move on, to never back down, that helped her get to where she is now. Her deeply-rooted values gave her the strength to stay on top of the game. Most importantly, no matter how high Sarah soars, her feet remains planted on the ground. Always grateful to the Lord, always bringing Him glory in everything that she does.
